This is an unusual Oreodont skull. It is from a Leptauchenia decora, a smaller, rarer type of Oreodont. Oreodonts were extinct herding animals similar to a sheep. This specimen has the skull and lower jaws intact and tightly articulated. The teeth are easily seen in the mouth. The skull is very 3-D and sticks up nicely out of the matrix block. This is a very displayable skull from this uncommon Oreodont.
