Here is a very displayable vertebrate fossil. It is a large Bison (buffalo) femur from the Ice Age deposits of Nebraska. This specimen exhibits fine detail - the bone structure is clearly defined. The leg bone is almost totally intact - both ends are well preserved. It has excellent color and the patina of the fossilized bone is quite nice. This is a wonderful fossil leg bone from an Ice Age buffalo. What a conversation piece!
