Name:
Two Unidentified Ammonites Age: Jurassic Formation: Ammonite Beds Location: Morocco Size: Larger ammonite is 2.6 inches across This specimen is not for sale Click here for similar specimens that are for sale
This is a very displayable ammonite plate. On the plate are two different unidentified ammonites from Morocco. The larger ammonite looks like a Dactylioceras, but it is more ornate. It has fine detail and many whorls. The smaller ammonite is mostly smooth, but has a distinct suture pattern if viewed under magnification. Both ammonites are very 3-D and are still encased in the rock matrix - they have never been "popped off". This is a very nice plate of unusual Moroccan ammonites.
