This is an excellent plate of fossil insects. There is a nice Cranefly and very detailed Snout Beetle on the slab. The Cranefly is very large. The eyes display prominently, and the different sections of the body are easily discernible. The Snout Beetle is equally detailed, showing the snout, legs, and ornamentation of the wing covers. This is a beautiful, natural pair of fossil insects preserved on the same plate.
