Here is a very striking specimen. This is a large cluster of Dactylioceras ammonites from the Jurassic of Germany. This is a natural piece - there have been no ammonites added or composited. The ammonites are inflated and exhibit nice detail. The individual cephalopods have a very rounded keel and display very fine ribbing. Most of the ammonites on the block display the inner whorls. The yellowish fossils contrast nicely with the dark brown matrix. This is a very displayable block of Jurassic ammonites from Germany.
