This is a nice Mammoth fossil. It is a large vertebra from the European Wooly Mammoth, Mammuthus primigenius. Mammoth Teeth or Tusks are occasionally found, but bones are rarely found fully intact, because they are so large. This specimen is large - over 10 inches long. The bone detail is good, and the vertebra retains its original shape. This is a large vertebrate fossil from an extinct Wooly Mammoth.
