This is a beautiful fossil shrimp from the Jurassic of Germany. It is a complete Aeger tipularis from the famous Solnhofen Lithographic Limestone. This shrimp is large and has excellent detail. The pointed rostrum, head, carapace, legs, and even the long, segmented antennae are all amazingly well-preserved and wonderfully displayed. The fossil has great dark color and strong contrast and is nicely centered on the large (10'' X 12.5''), natural-edged plate of limestone, showcasing the long antennae impressively. This is a very beautiful example of a collectible fossil arthropod from this classic, world-famous locality.
