This is a very nice multiple plate of brachiopods. These are Mucrospirifer sp. from the famous Silica Shale of Ohio. There are three specimens of this ''long-winged'' brachiopod on the slab. All of the 3-dimensional brachiopods have both valves intact and are nicely articulated. The fine detail of the brachiopods is easily seen. The radial ornamentation is clearly defined, and even the fine growth lines are quite evident. The fossils have very good color and contrast and are well positioned on the plate of shale. This is an extremely attractive plate of Devonian brachiopods from Ohio.
