This is a very nice tooth of Alligator mississippiensis from the Pleistocene of Florida. An extremely long, gently curving root is still tightly attached to the tooth. The corrugated enamel of the 3-dimensional tooth is wonderfully preserved, and the very tip of the tooth is in great condition. This is an excellent alligator tooth from the Ice Age.
