Here is an unusual piece from the Cretaceous of Morocco. This is a wonderful plate of two teeth from two different organisms. On the left side of the plate is a Squalicorax shark tooth. This strangely-shaped tooth has a very solid and substantial root. The coarse serrations along both edges of the tooth are beautifully displayed, and the tip of the tooth is near perfect. An excellent Mosasaurus anceps tooth is on the right side of the slab. This 3-dimensional mosasaur tooth has gorgeous enamel and the very tip of the tooth is intact. The fossils have wonderful color and contrast well with the sand-colored matrix. They are nicely positioned on the oval plate of sandstone. And best of all, they are totally natural to the plate. They have not been placed or composited on the piece. This is a great specimen of fossils from two different animals that were swimming in the Cretaceous sea.
