This is a very attractive specimen of Ordovician gastropods from Ohio. There are three examples of Cyclonema bilix composited on this plate. These fossil snails are quite 3-dimensional and exhibit great detail. The fine ornamentation of the squat, ''wide-bodied'' gastropods is easily seen. The fossils have wonderful color and contrast and are nicely presented on the natural plate of shale. This is a very displayable specimen of Paleozoic gastropods.
