Here is an enigmatic fossil. This is Conularia sp. from the Ordovician of Canada. There is still a lot of debate on the classification of this animal. This specimen is inflated and exhibits fine detail. The crenulated "ribs" of the fossil shell are well defined. The fossil has good color and contrast. It is well positioned on the natural plate of matrix. This is a good example of this unusual fossil.
