The head, body, and legs of the insect are quite evident. The wing covers display extremely fine reticulation. The dark color of the insect contrasts nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. The specimen is well presented on the natural plate of oil shale. This is an outstanding fossil Snout Beetle from the Green River Formation.
