This is an extremely rare and collectible Woolly Mammoth fossil. It is a Mammuthus primigenius tusk from a BABY Mammoth! This specimen was recovered from the same area that was featured in the Discovery Channel special, "Raising the Mammoth". Tusks from baby Mammoths are rarely ever found because of their small size and the Mammoth's low infant mortality rate. The small tusk is complete down to the very tip, which was broken, then shows wear from use after it was broken! The root end is intact and hollow, showing that this is a complete specimen. The tusk has been expertly polished to show the striking color of the fossil ivory. As an added bonus, this specimen comes with a sample of real Mammoth hair (''Wool'') at no extra charge. This is a very unique Mammoth tusk that would display beautifully on a desk or bookshelf (display stand is included for free).
