This is a very unique Mammoth fossil. It is a large vertebra from the European Woolly Mammoth, Mammuthus primigenius. Mammoth Teeth or Tusks are occasionally found, but bones are rarely found fully intact, because they are so large. This specimen is quite large - almost a foot wide. The bone detail is good, and the vertebra retains its original shape. This is a great specimen of a huge vertebra from an Ice Age Mammoth.
