This is a very interesting historical item. It is a genuine ten dollar bill from the Confederate States of America. This paper money was printed in 1864 in Richmond, Virginia. It is amazing that this piece of paper has survived for almost 140 years. The bill includes a portrait of an important official (Jefferson Davis, perhaps) and has a beautiful engraved scene of horses pulling a cannon. This is a highly collectible piece of Civil War memorabilia.
