This is a very unique vertebrate fossil. It is a large Rhino tusk from the Miocene of China. The 3-dimensional tusk has wonderful form, and a large portion of the root of the tusk is even intact! The enamel has excellent color and is beautifully diplayed on both sides of the dagger-shaped tusk. The very tip of the tusk is in excellent condition, exhibiting only a minute amount of natural wear. Although the huge tusk has been repaired, there is no restoration to this outstanding specimen. This is a great example of a tusk from this unusual Miocene mammal.
