This is a very displayable Mastadon tooth. It is from the extinct American Mastadon, Mammut americanum. This type of animal crossed the land bridge from North America to Russia and made it as far as Eastern Europe. It lived beyond the end of the Ice Age and was hunted by early Man. It was a very interesting Ice Age mammal.

This specimen is nearly complete and has most of the root still intact. The large enamel crown has great brownish coloration and excellent detail. The tooth is beautifully showcased on a custom-made wooden stand. This is an extremely fine tooth from this very sought-after Mastadon from North America (wooden stand is included).
