This is a very unusual brittlestar fossil. It is a plate of both Sinosura and Ophiopetra brittlestars from the famous Solnhofen Limestone of Hienheim, Germany. This plate has four Sinosura and one Ophiopetra preserved in fine fashion. The Sinosura have long, thin, sinuous arms and a small central disc. The Ophiopetra differs in that its arms are covered with large spines. All five stars have excellent detail and are beutifully spaced on the large slab of lithographic limestone. This is a very displayable plate of fossil brittlestars representing two very different types.
