This is a wonderful fossil insect. It is a very unusual Robber Fly the Cretaceous of China. This insect exhibits excellent detail - the head, segmented body, and legs are wonderfully preserved. The insect has nice color and contrast and is well showcased on the natural plate of shale. This is a great example of a fossil Robber Fly from the time of the Dinosaurs.
