Here is a very unusual plate of gastropods that we recently obtained in an old collection. This specimen is from the famous Devonian slate of Bundenbach, Germany. The slate quarries are now closed and the only way to obtain fossils from this site is through the dispersal of old collections. There are three, very uncommon, high-spired gastropods on this slab. They have good form and are somewhat inflated. There is also an impression of a nautiloid on the plate. The fossils are well positioned on the large, somewhat rectangular plate of slate. This is an extremely interesting plate of fossils from this "classic" site.
