This is a fossil you often hear about, but rarely ever see. It is an excellent Fossil Frog from China. This specimen is complete and very well articulated. The bone detail is awesome - each bone is easily seen under magnification. But the truly amazing feature of this fossil frog is that it even has the skin and muscles preserved - the outline of the actual frog is well defined. The frog is well centered on the tan-colored plate of shale. This is a very exciting specimen for the fossil collection that has everything, except a fossil frog.
