This is a great display plate of Paleocene gastropods. They are Turritella mortoni from King George County, Virginia. These gastropods are huge - almost 5 inches long! They have excellent detail and are extremely 3-D. The Turritellas are set in a natural block of marlstone for optimal display. This is a great fossil showcasing two very large Turritella gastropods.
