This is a beautiful brittlestar from the Ordovician ''Starfish Beds'' of Morocco. Due to their delicate nature, fossil brittlestars are usually disarticulated or have many arms missing. This specimen is unusual in that all five arms are present and beautifully displayed. The central disk and the arms of the brittlestar exhibit extremely fine detail - the plate structure of the organism is very well defined. The fossil has great NATURAL orange coloration and striking contrast. The 'star is well positioned on the sculpted sandstone plate. This is a very displayable fossil brittlestar from North Africa.
