Here is a gorgeous fossil bivalve from the Jurassic of England. This is a large specimen (over 4 inches) of Cardinia sp. from the Frodingham Ironstone. The fossil clam has been polished to reveal the spectacular green and white coloration of the specimen. The fossil bivalve is nicely inflated and beautifully displayed on a large natural plate of matrix that is just loaded with other fossils. This is easily one of the most displayable fossil bivalves we have had.
