Here is a rare baby Mammuthus primigenius tooth, extracted from the Permafrost of Siberia. This specimen was found in the same area that was featured in the Discovery Channel special, ''Raising the Mammoth''. Teeth from baby Mammoths are rarely ever found because of their small size and the Mammoth's low infant mortality rate. This baby Mammoth tooth is so small, it fits in the palm of my hand! The tooth is extremely 3-dimensional and exhibits a beautiful natural coloration. The grinding surface of the tooth is fully preserved and beautifully displayed. This solid tooth has the roots intact, which is also very rare. This tooth can be displayed from all sides, and at any angle. This is a very rare and collectible example of a complete baby Woolly Mammoth tooth.
