This is a beautiful ammonite from the Cretaceous of Russia. This is a very fine specimen of Craspedites nodiger. The ammonite is beautifully colored, being mostly white with dark brown to black suture lines - the contrast of colors within the fossil is quite striking. The ammonite has been mostly extracted from the surrounding matrix so it can be viewed from all sides. The other side of the ammonite is also well preserved. This is a very bright and displayable white ammonite.
