This is a very nice specimen of two fossilized shrimp. They are Carpopenaeus callirostris from the sublithographic limestone layers of Lebanon. Due to political unrest, specimens from this location are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. Both fossil shrimp are complete and have very good color. The detail of the shrimp is easily seen with the naked eye. The shrimp are aesthetically spaced on the semi-rectangular plate of limestone. This is a very displayable multiple plate of fossil shrimp from Lebanon.
