Here is a spectacular plate of ammonites from the Jurassic of Russia. There are many Cosmoceras proniae ammonites on the block of concretionary matrix. These ammonites have a thin ribbing pattern and a very sharp keel. The 3-dimensional ammonites retain the highly iridescent, mother-of-pearl shell and ''flash'' a wide array of many gorgeous colors. They are beautifully showcased on the block of concretionary matrix that is covered with sparkling pyrite crystals. This is a stunning display plate of ammonites from Russia.
