Here is a striking ammonite specimen. This is a very nice Dactylioceras ammonites from the Jurassic of Germany. The ammonite is inflated and exhibits fine detail. The cephalopod has a very rounded keel and displays extremely fine ribbing. The ammonite displays the tiny inner whorls beautifully. The yellowish fossil contrasts wonderfully with the dark brown matrix. This is a very displayable specimen of Dactylioceras from Germany.
