Here is an interesting plate of fossils from the Mississippian of Missouri. There are three examples of Evactinopora, a star-shaped bryozoan, on the slab. The fossils are quite 3-dimensional and exhibit fine detail. The points on the bryozoans are easily seen - one is five-pointed, while the other two have seven points each. The fossils have very good color and contrast and are nicely positioned on the plate of maroon-colored limestone that also contains a large crinoid stem. This is a fine example of these strange bryozoans from the Fern Glen Formation.
