Here is a gorgeous fossil bivalve from the Frodingham Ironstone of England. This is a large specimen (over 5 inches) of Cardinia sp. from the Jurassic. The fossil clam has been polished to reveal the beautiful green and white coloration of the specimen. The fossil bivalve is nicely inflated and beautifully displayed on a large natural plate of matrix that is loaded with other fossils. This is, perhaps, the most displayable fossil bivalve we have ever seen.
