Here is a unique fossil plate. This is a plate of Rafinesquina brachiopods from the Ordovician of Ohio. There are three specimens of Isorophus cincinnatiensis sitting atop two of the brachiopods. These primitive echinoderms were composed of a flexible theca with numerous, polygonal plates. On this specimen, the disc-like edrios display these small plates. Some of the small ambulacra of the edrios are seen. This is a very interesting plate of brachiopods with edrioasteroids attached.
