Here is a nice plate of fossil shrimp from the Cretaceous of Lebanon. There are two fine specimens of Carpopenaeus callirostris beautifully displayed on this slab. Due to political unrest, specimens from this site are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. These shrimp are nicely preserved and exhibit great detail. The heads, segmented carapaces, tails, and legs of the arthropods are clearly defined. The shrimp are nicely positioned on the semi-squared plate of sublithographic limestone. This is a great pair of fossil shrimp from the Cretaceous.
