Here is a beautiful ammonite from Russia. This is Aconeceras trautscholdi from the Jurassic. This 3-dimensional ammonite has faint ribbing and a very sharp keel. The gorgeous, iridescent, mother-of-pearl shell is intact on this wonderful specimen. Needless to say, this disc-shaped ammonite has excellent color and contrast. It is nicely perched on the hard, dense shale matrix. This is a very aesthetic ammonite from Russia.
