Here is a very rare fossil insect. This is a HUGE insect from the classic Lower Cretaceous "Feathered Dinosaur" site in China. The fine detail of the insect is quite evident. The head, large body, and LONG legs of the insect are easily seen. Very few insects in the Cretaceous had legs this long! The large insect is well showcased on the natural plate of shale. This is a very large, very unusual fossil insect from the time of the dinosaurs.
