Here is a very displayable ammonite from the "wilds" of Patagonia. This is Sonninia mirabilis from the Jurassic. This type of ammonite has a somewhat faint ribbing pattern with a sharp ridge on the keel. Both sides of the ammonite are extremely well preserved. The inner whorls are beautifully displayed. The ammonite has nice color and contrast. It is wonderfully perched on the natural piece of matrix. This is a very detailed example of Sonninia from Argentina.
