This is a wonderful fossil insect from the time of the dinosaurs. It is a very unusual Winged Insect from the Cretaceous of China. This insect exhibits excellent detail - the wings, segmented body, and legs are all wonderfully preserved. The insect has outstanding color and contrast and is nicely presented on the natural plate of shale. This is a great example of a Winged Insect preserved in shale.
