This is a nice plate of lithographic limestone with a shrimp exposed. This specimen is from the Cretaceous of Lebanon. Due to political unrest, specimens from this location are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. The fossil has been darkened for contrast (typical of this site). The shrimp has great color and detail, and is beautifully preserved. It is nicely positioned on the large semi-rectangular plate of matrix. This is a wonderful fossil shrimp from Lebanon.
