This is a rare multiple plate of Paleocene gastropods. They are Turritella mortoni from King George County, Virginia. There are MANY gastropods on the block, and all are natural to the plate! The fossils have excellent detail and are extremely 3-D. The Turritellas display well in the natural block of marlstone. This is a great fossil showcasing a natural deposit of Turritella gastropods.
