Here is a very nice plate of lithographic limestone with two shrimp exposed. This specimen is from the Cretaceous of Lebanon. Due to political unrest, specimens from this location are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. The fossils have been darkened for contrast (typical of this site). These shrimp are beautifully preserved and exhibit great detail. They are nicely positioned on the rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very aesthetic specimen of fossil shrimp from Lebanon.
