This is a very nice irregular echinoid from the Cretaceous of Morocco. The fossil urchin has been removed from the matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. The 3-dimensional specimen shows hardly any weathering and exhibits fine detail. The ambulacra are nicely displayed, and the mouth and anus of this echinoderm are easily seen. The surface of the test is covered with small dimples which were the spine attachment points. This is a very pretty example of this colorful echinoid from Morocco.
