Here is a fabulous starfish specimen from the Ordovician of Morocco. This plate contains a HUGE starfish. The fossil sea star exhibits fantastic detail - all five of the extremely long arms are intact and the plate structure is very easily seen. It is extremely unusual to have all of the arms so nicely preserved. The fossil has excellent, totally natural, orange coloration and contrasts strikingly with the light tan matrix. The fossil is beautifully showcased on the somewhat rectangular block of sandstone. This is easily one of the best true starfish fossils we have ever offered for sale.
