Here is a large chambered ammonite. This is a beautiful Cleoniceras cleon from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This ammonite has been cut in half and both halves have been highly polished for optimal display. The individual chambers of this multi-colored ammonite are very well defined - many of the individual chambers are hollow and filled with sharply-pointed crystals. The large size of the cephalopod and the wonderful coloration of the mineral replacement makes for an exciting specimen. This is a very displayable ammonite for the fossil collector or an interesting objet d'art for home or office. The opening bid is extremely low for a split pair ammonite of this size and quality.
