This is an unusual echinoderm fossil. It is a large Edriophus bigsbyi, an edrioasteroid, from Ontario, Canada. This specimen is inflated and exhibits great detail. The over-all plate structure of this edrioasteroid is quite nice. The cream-colored fossil contrasts nicely with the grey matrix. The edrio is beautifully centered on the block of limestone. This is a fine specimen of this primitive echinoderm from the Ordovician of Canada.
