This is a rare fossil association. It is an inflated Furtagus sp. echinoid and a colorful Mantelliceras mantelli ammonite from Kazakhstan. These fossils are uncommon in their own right, but a natural dlouble is almost unheard of. The Furtagus echinoid is very 3-D and has fine detail preserved (better than the photo shows). The Mantelliceras ammonite has distinct ribbing intact and large nodes that are as large as spines! Both fossils display beautifully on the natural limestone base. This is a fabulous example of these two unusual fossils from Kazakhstan.
