Here is a very pretty ammonite from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This extremely large ammonite has been cut in half and both halves have been highly polished for optimal display. The coiling pattern of the mollusk is easily seen, and many of the individual chambers are hollow and beautifully showcased. The gorgeous coloration of the interior of the ammonite makes for an exciting exhibit. This is a very large, very attractive display fossil from Madagascar.
