Here is an interesting plate of fossils from the Mississippian of Missouri. There a fine example of Evactinopora, a star-shaped bryozoan, a nice Leptaena brachiopod, and a Horn Coral on the slab. The fossils are quite 3-dimensional and exhibit fine detail. The points on the bryozoan are easily seen - it is six-pointed. The fossils have good color and contrast and are nicely positioned on the plate of maroon-colored limestone. This is a very good example of this strange bryozoan and other fossils from the Fern Glen Formation.
