This is a wonderful fossil insect from the time of the dinosaurs. It is a very detailed Flying Insect from the Jurassic of China. This insect exhibits excellent detail - the head, segmented body, legs, and antennae are wonderfully preserved. Even the distinct, finely-venated wings are beautifully displayed. The insect has outstanding color and contrast and is nicely presented on the large, natural plate of shale. This is a great example of this fossil winged insect preserved in shale.
