This is a beautiful ammonite from the Cretaceous of Russia. This is a very fine specimen of Craspedites nodiger. The ammonite is beautifully colored, being mostly white with dark brown to black suture lines - the contrast of colors within the fossil is quite striking. The ammonite has been partially extracted from the surrounding matrix for optimal display. This is a very bright and displayable example of this unusual white ammonite from Russia.
